What is included in the installation?
We handle the site assessment, camera selection, cabling, network configuration, NVR setup, AI detection and recording configuration, and DMSS phone setup. We also show you how to use it. See how it works for the steps.
Do you only sell cameras?
No. We supply, install, configure and support complete Dahua systems, so you get a working security system rather than a box of equipment. Support continues after installation, including changes and additions.
What is DMSS?
DMSS is Dahua's mobile security app. Once we configure it, you can view live cameras, play back recordings and receive alerts on your phone or tablet. Read more about DMSS.
Can I view my cameras from my phone anywhere?
Yes, with a working internet connection at the property and a phone connection where you are. Remote access is set up securely through DMSS and sensible network configuration, not by opening your router to the internet.
What does human detection actually do?
On compatible systems, it identifies people rather than just movement, which can reduce alerts caused by trees, rain, shadows and animals. It flags events for you to review and does not replace your own judgement. Learn about human detection.
Do all cameras have AI features?
No. AI features are available on compatible systems and vary depending on the selected camera and recorder, and entry-level systems may offer basic motion detection only. We confirm what your system supports before you commit.
How long is footage kept?
It depends on how the system is set up. Storage is sized around the number of cameras, the recording quality and the number of days you want to keep, so we plan it with you. See how recording works.
