AI security cameras across Australia
Supplied, installed, configured and supported in every state and territory. Pick your state or city to see what matters where you are.
A camera system does its job in a very particular place. A shopfront in Fortitude Valley, a farm gate near Wagga Wagga, a holiday house at Bicheno and a warehouse in Winnellie all need something different, even if the technology behind them is shared. Our service is built around that. We look at your site first, then choose and set up the system.
Our office is on the Gold Coast, and the service is delivered across Australia. Scheduling and coverage for your address are confirmed when we quote.
What we do
We do not just sell boxes. For homes and businesses, the work covers:
- A site assessment and a talk about what you want to see and what worries you.
- Camera selection to suit the site, the lighting and the budget.
- Professional installation, including positioning, cabling and network configuration.
- Recorder setup, with surveillance hard drives sized to the number of cameras and days of footage you want.
- AI detection configuration on compatible systems.
- Remote access and smartphone notifications through DMSS, plus training so you know how to use it.
- Ongoing support, including troubleshooting, changes, extra cameras and upgrades.
Our AI security cameras page sets out the full service.
How remote-first scoping works
Australia is too big to start every job with a site visit. So we usually begin by asking for a few things. Photos of the entry points, the roofline and eaves, the spot where the router lives and where a recorder could go. A rough sketch or a few measurements. A short description of what has happened or what you are concerned about.
From that we can suggest a layout, explain what each camera would cover, and put together a proposal. If something is unclear from photos, such as an awkward roof, a long cable run or a spot with no network point, we say so and agree how to confirm it. Nothing is hidden until installation day. How on-site work is arranged at your address, and when, is confirmed when we quote.
Our how it works page lists the steps from first enquiry to ongoing support.
How conditions change across the continent
Climate and distance decide a lot of practical choices.
- Tropical north. Wet-season humidity, cyclones and lightning in Darwin, Cairns and Townsville call for sealed fittings, solid mounts and surge protection.
- Southern states. Frost, damp and wind in Tasmania, the Victorian highlands and Canberra affect low-temperature ratings, condensation and mounting.
- Inland and western areas. Heat and dust are the main enemies of recorders and lenses, so we plan for ventilation and airflow.
- Coastal strips. Salt air in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and everywhere else on the coast is hard on cheap fittings.
- Bushfire country. Much of the east coast, the Adelaide Hills and the south-west of WA see smoke and ember risk, so cabling and recorder placement need thought.
Every state and territory has its own page on what these conditions mean for local properties, and city guides sit beneath them. Start from our areas page, or go straight to Queensland, Western Australia or Tasmania if you want to see how different the advice can be.
The properties we cover
For households, the usual locations include houses, apartments, driveways and garages, front entrances, backyards and gates, and holiday homes and investment properties. For businesses, we see retail stores, offices, warehouses, restaurants and cafes, workshops, medical practices, commercial properties, body corporate and common areas, construction sites and multi-site businesses.
Multi-site customers can see several locations through the same app. A property manager with a unit in Brisbane and a warehouse in Melbourne can open both in one place.
Where DMSS fits
DMSS is Dahua's mobile security app. Once we have configured it, you can view cameras live from anywhere, play back recorded video, receive security event notifications and AI alerts on compatible systems, manage cameras and recorders, view multiple cameras at once, and share access with family or staff. On compatible systems it can also control alarms and handle video intercom.
It is what makes a system useful when you are not at the property. A business owner who is away gets an alert when a person is detected in a monitored area, opens DMSS, sees the event and checks the relevant camera. Remote access is set up securely through DMSS and sensible network configuration. We do not use port forwarding. Read more on our DMSS mobile app page.
What AI can and cannot do
On compatible systems, human detection helps tell people from trees, rain, shadows and animals. Vehicle detection, intrusion zones and tripwires add alerts for vehicles, people entering an area after hours, or someone crossing a virtual line. Intelligent video search helps locate people, vehicles or events without watching hours of footage.
AI features vary depending on the selected camera and recorder, and entry-level systems may offer basic motion detection only. We detect, flag and alert. We do not promise to prevent crime, and a person still decides what to do.
What to ask any installer
Whoever you choose, a few questions are worth asking.
- Can you show me a sketch of where each camera goes and what it will see?
- Which of the AI features I want work on the cameras and recorder you are proposing?
- How much footage will the recorder keep, and how did you work that out?
- How will I see the cameras remotely, and is it set up securely?
- What licence and insurance do you hold? (Ask us the same.)
- What happens afterwards if I need a change or a fault is reported?
Our independent buying guides go into each of these in more detail.
Costs and getting started
Cost depends on the number of cameras, cabling difficulty, recorder and storage, and which AI features you need. When you are ready, contact us with a few photos and a short description, and we will take it from there.

Questions from around Australia.
Do you install anywhere in Australia?
The service is delivered Australia-wide. How the on-site work is arranged for your address, and when, is confirmed when we quote. We begin remotely with photos and a conversation.
Will AI features work on every camera?
No. AI features are available on compatible systems and vary depending on the selected camera and recorder. We explain what your chosen equipment supports.
Can I watch my cameras from overseas?
Yes, with a working internet connection at the property and DMSS on your phone. You can view live, play back footage and receive alerts.
Do you offer support after installation?
Yes. We provide troubleshooting, configuration changes, upgrades, added cameras and maintenance.
Ready for cameras that know what they are looking at?
Tell us about your property and what worries you. We will recommend a system that fits, explain which AI features your cameras can support, and quote clearly.
